CRYO FAQ

  1. How long is a whole-body cryotherapy session? (3 minutes)

  2. What do I need to wear to my whole-body cryotherapy session? (No, while in the cryochamber you will only be wearing socks, slippers and gloves and men also wear briefs. For women, its optional to wear a wireless bra and underwear but it is not required. We ask you do not wear any lotion or moisture to your skin before your session. No jewelry or metals can be worn below the neck.)

  3. Is it cold? Does it hurt? (Yes it is cold, but not painful.)

  4. How does the chamber get that cold? (We use nitrogen to cool the cryo chamber to -240F. It is transformed into hyper cool air, which is what cools the chamber and allows it to get into “cryo temperatures.”)

  5. How often should I cryo? (Talk to your cryo technician about why you are using cryotherapy for a recommendation of how often you should cryo.)

  6. Will I feel anything after my first session? (Because the effects of cryotherapy are different for every client, it will depend entirely on how your body reacts to the session. Typically, most clients feel an increase of energy and flexibility and a decrease of inflammation within the first few minutes or hours. Some clients feel the first impact the next morning after a sleep cycle. Many report noticing a deeper sleep and feeling reduced pain and inflammation the following 48-72 hours.)

  7. May I pay through insurance? (No, we do not accept insurance policies. You can always ask your insurance provider if they can reimburse you, but we do not accept insurance for payment.)

  8. Is it possible to cryo too much? (If you notice you are not seeing the same results as when you first started doing cryotherapy sessions, we recommend taking two weeks off. Your body will never become completely used to the effects of extreme cold exposure.)

  9. Are there any limitations on using cryotherapy? (Yes, a client under the age of 14 cannot use cryotherapy. The client can not have high blood pressure, have or had seizures, have a severe case of Raynaud’s syndrome, be pregnant, have any existing heart issue, have any severe reaction to cold or had a stroke. Other contradictions exist for which each client should fully read the waiver.)

  8. What is the difference between a spray tan and an airbrush tan? (A spray tan is done in a booth or by machine. An airbrush is done by a certified Infinity Sun technician custom to your body. We can add additional coats, contour the body, prevent uneven lines, spotty areas and darker hands and feet.)
